A driver died Thursday, Oct. 15, after a single-vehicle rollover crash on eastbound Kellogg at K-96 in east Wichita.
The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to KSN. A Sedgwick County 911 dispatch supervisor told the station the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Only one vehicle was involved.
KWCH also confirmed the death, reporting that Sedgwick County dispatch updated the person's condition from extremely critical to deceased. KWCH initially reported that the vehicle had tipped over with one person ejected from the vehicle.
Police later identified the driver as a 27-year-old woman and the vehicle’s only occupant, KWCH reported Thursday evening. Detectives believe she killed her mother before the crash, and authorities are investigating the incidents as a suspected murder-suicide. Her name was not included in the report.
